What: Arts Partnerships in Central & Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia, & the Caucasus

Grant: Up to $10,000 USD
Deadline: January 15, 2011
Support is provided to create new work that draws inspiration from interaction with artists and the community in the US; to establish mutually beneficial exchange of ideas and expertise between artists, arts organizations and the local community and to pursue artistic cooperation that will enrich creative or professional development or has potential to expand the community’s access to the art of other cultures.

Eligibility: Artists, collaborative projects that are interactive, installation, community oriented
Deadline: 15 January 2010 for 2010 grant cycle
The mission of the Black Rock Arts Foundation is: To support and promote community-based interactive art and civic participation. For our purposes, interactive art means art that generates social participation. The process whereby this art is created, the means by which it is displayed and the character of the work itself should inspire immediate actions that connect people to one another in a larger communal context.
