There will be a reception on Thursday November 19 2009, at CoCA’s Ballard Gallery inside the Shilshole Bay Beach Club at 6413 Seaview Ave NW Seattle, WA 98107. The gallery includes approximately 75 feet of wall space and is well attended by a variety of audiences.

What: Puffin Foundation Grant Program Call for Proposals
Eligibility: Emerging Artists in visual arts, dance, music, theater, video, literature

The Puffin Foundation Ltd. makes grants that encourage emerging artists in the fields of art, film, music, theater, photography, and public interest whose works due to their genre and/or social philosophy might have difficulty being aired. The Foundation does not have the means to fund large film/documentary proposals, grants for travel, continuing education, or the writing or publishing of books.

Average grants are: $1,000.00 – $2,500.00

What: Jentel Artists Residency Program

Eligiblity: All artists over 25 years of age residing in the U.S; not accepting artists currently enrolled in academic institutions

Where: Banner, WY

Duration: One month

Stipend: Yes

Deadline: September 15 and January 15 annually

A month long residency on a working cattle ranch in Banner, WY.  Four artists and two writers accepted for each month long residency.  Studio and living accommodations provided, along with a modest stipend.  Application deadline Sept. 15 is for January 15-May 13 residencies; January 15 deadline is for May 15-December 13 residencies.
