Working with encaustics and thoroughly enjoying it. My project: images I have photographed, printed with pigment ink on my inkjet printer, using a beautiful japanese paper made by Hiromi. This then gets carefully glued to a cradled birch panel using acrylic medium and then allowed to dry. These will then be ready for a layer of beeswax medium (beeswax + damar varnish), then whatever else I decide to do. My goal is to master working with inlaid wax images, which will play off the prints I just glued down.
